Whether you have Windows XP Home Edition or Windows
XP Professional, Gon Method for Windows XP is same. Of course, you can
do it on both XP.
Step 1
Click Control Panel in Start Menu.
In Pick a category window, Click Date, Time,
Language and Regional Options icon.
In Pick a Control Panel icon section, Click Regional
Options icon.
Regional and Language Options window will appear. Click Languages
tab.
At Supplemental language Support area, you can
see Install files for East Asian languages check box. Check
this box on then click Apply button.
Windows XP asks you " Is it OK?" because
this operation installs all Chinese, Japanese, and Korean languages
files. They are 270MB total. Unfortunately you cannot choose "Japanese
language files only". East Asian languages are now packed. So click OK button.
Copy starts. Some PC will ask you to insert Windows
XP's CD. Some PC won't ask you.
It takes a little bit longer time than you imagine.
Windows XP asks you to restart PC. Click Yes
button.
After PC restarts, You can read Japanese homepage.
Not only Japanese homepage but also Korean and Chinese homepages. I suppose
Microsoft cares cultural exchanges and peace in Asian countries very
much. Thank you, Bill.
DON'T FORGET TO GO TO STEP2!!
IT'S JUST HALF-DONE!!
